15-11-25 | Greeting my friends! Last month something incredible happened. As I was updating this humble little website I noticed that my visitors went from an average of 600 visitors per months to … wait for it … 5.000 visitors per month! It seems my three years of hard work are finally paying off. Does this make me happy? Hell yes! Did I expect this? NOPE! In fact, the sudden rise in views has made me very very confused indeed.
Before October my biggest hits were posts dedicated to cosplay events. I’ve visited Elfia and Comic Con Holland twice and the four resulting retrospectives are terribly popular. My other posts, comics and articles were modestly successful but nowhere near as well read as the cosplay stories. Well, not anymore! Good old Pip & Jane are on the rise and now proudly boast view counts comparable to my cosplay articles.
And the scary thing is I have NO idea where all of these wonderful people came from. Not a fucking clue. I started this website in 2023 to experiment with writing and producing comics. The original intent was to serialize adventure stories, but my busy schedule and lackluster storylines made me switch to gag cartoons. To see Pip & Jane get the attention that they deserve means that the experiment can now be considered a success.
The odd thing is that this success comes to me at a time when my views on social media are dipping and I’m spending less time promoting Pip & Jane, Kitty Cosplay or my monthly news articles. It seems the less I push the website, the better it does. Or rather, the better YOU do. Because this newfound success is all thanks to you, dear reader! Which is why I would like to ask you to do me a small favour.
As some of you will know I post quite frequently on Instagram, DeviantArt and other channels. It’s a great way to keep up with the latest Pip & Jane adventures and my cosplay interactions. I’m not asking this for the sake of my ego, but because I genuinely can’t figure out where you wonderful people came from so suddenly and in such great numbers. Apparently I have lots of fans in Brazil and Singapore! Who would have thought?! A brief comment would help me make the website and comics that you love even bigger, better and bolder.
