02-05-25 | Greetings my friends! Has it really been two years since I went to my last Comic Con? Turns out it has. And I haven’t really got a valid excuse either. Because – get this – I live within walking distance of the summer edition venue. That’s right, folks. While you guys are stuck in traffic or getting funny looks while riding the train, this asshole is strolling from his front door to the Con in less than 10 minutes.
I’ve been neglecting my cosplay friends for far too long. But fear not: me and Kitty Cosplay will be attending the 2025 summer edition of Comic Con Holland in Den Bosch! The boys are back in action! We can’t wait to meet you guys out there. Get your poses ready, ‘cause naturally the camera is coming along with us. Hallelujah!
Comic Con will have a hard time topping our visit to Elfia in 2024. We reconnected with Chai, wo had just been proposed to. We were bonded with a young Doctor Who fan over our Tom Baker scarfs. And we met Mandalorian warriors who, quite in keeping with the code, refused to remove their helmets. This is the way. Sorry for asking. I’ll make it up to you. Trust me.
Little did we realise that this would be our last visit to Elfia at the stunning castle grounds at De Haar. The event won’t be returning to that particular open air venue, which is a damn shame. There are plenty of other cosplay events organised at historical or semi-historical castles, but Elfia at De Haar was the OG. All the more reason for me to embrace Comic Con Holland. Especially considering, as mentioned, that particular Con takes place within walking distance from my home.
