NEWS : SHAMAN KANE RETURNS IN PLANET COMICS


19-12-23 | The next issue of Planet Comics continues the adventures of Shaman Kane, the rugged intergalactic adventurer with a talent for stumbling into mystical mysteries. Also featured in Planet Comics #26 is a new story revolving Phenix as she tangles with the Extinctioners, who threaten to wipe out the future of humanity. Two obscure characters for sure, but definitely worth your time!

legacy goes way back. The magazine debuted in the 1940s as one of the earliest (if not the first) science fantasy comic books ever. The anthology comic featured a wide variety of intergalactic subjects, which were revived by Antarctic Press in 2020. The publisher continued the anthology tradition until its 21st issue, when Shaman Kane was introduced. The series continues to feature the lurid covers which made the magazine a classic of its genre.

The upcoming issue of Planet Comics is no exception, with Ben Dunn delivering an exceptional green skinned warrior woman. Not unlike the Orions in classic Star Trek, eh? Other vintage series which have been successfully revived by Antarctic Press include superhero anthology Exciting Comics and the exotic Jungle Comics range. The later excels in depicting savage girls wrestling with dinosaurs. Now there’s a sentence you don’t read every day …
