Now the Autobots are set to return to theatres later this year with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the seventh film in the franchise. This film introduces three new animalistic robo-factions to the series: the Maximals, the Predacons and the Terrorcons.
The names will be familiar to toy collectors. Beast Wars was a successful collection of transforming action figures, which followed in the footsteps of the Transformers range. The collection has since become a cult favourite and should prove to be a refreshing ingredient in the Transformers movie series, whose later instalments were not well received by critics, despite being immensely popular with the general audience.
